Robert Janssen

Mr. Janssen is a Senior Vice President of Kelson Energy and recently served as the General Manager of New Athens Generating Company (1,080 MW, NY) and as the Chief Commercial Officer for Dogwood Energy. He directed efforts to monetize Kelson's remaining stake in the Dogwood Energy Facility, a 650 MW combined cycle generating facility, by selling fractional interests to municipal utilities and power agencies in Missouri and Kansas.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Janssen was the General Manager of Redbud Energy (1,230 MW, OK) and oversaw its sale to Oklahoma Gas and Electric. He brings substantial expertise in regulatory processes, electric market design, and implementation. He contributed significantly to the Southwest Power Pool's energy markets and in leading the integration of both the Redbud and Dogwood facilities into those markets.

Before joining Kelson in 2005, he held a senior role at Boston Pacific Company. Mr. Janssen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and has completed postgraduate coursework in business administration.
